Hey Hatters!!
Since I haven’t really had much going on today, I figured I would blog about something more fun.
I want to share why I decided to start blogging.

I have always kept a journal, and I really enjoy writing about my life. I find that it keeps me from stressing too much and I can appreciate what makes me happy and find new perspectives on what I find frustrating or difficult.
However, as the years have passed, I have started to feel choked by not being able to share my days and the ups and downs they have with other people.
A major part of feeling heard and finding relief in sharing your daily stories is KNOWING that you have been heard. By keeping my thoughts locked in a journal, I felt stifled and invalidated.
I know that although many of those who read this blog don’t know me and don’t read too deeply into what I write, you are all so important to me for listening to what I care about and how my day goes. It’s nice to share all the small moments that piece together my days, weeks, months, and years with all of you. And for that, I would like to tell you all that I am so grateful for you, and each and every one of you are so important to me.
Love,
mad hattered ❤
Yes, being heard and feeling un-alone are some of the many benefits to blogging. I too like to drop little comments of ‘I hear you’ on the sadder posts, and share the joys on the happier ones. Great points you’ve made here. Thanks for sharing!

Stuart, thank you so much for commenting!! I love the thought of leaving small comments on posts to help validate others and make them feel heard. I’m definitely going to start doing that!
